Each Mellow Mushroom restaurant is expected to be a unique and artful environment in which to showcase the offerings of this popular pizzeria franchise. Asked by the local franchisee to design a restaurant evoking a sense of camping in a state park, Matheny Goldmon Architects incorporated rustic peeled poplar logs, reclaimed barn wood, natural stone, and even converted on old RV trailer into a private seating area. An Atlanta based artist was retained to produce murals depicting a surreal Americana landscape which warps the camping theme in typical Mellow Mushroom fashion. At 6,385 square feet, this restaurant has a capacity of approximately 230 patrons within the spacious dining area, the wraparound patio dining, and the large bar area.
