In order to expand their contemporary worship service, First United Methodist Church, Guntersville recently purchased a 10,000 square foot, vacant A&P Grocery Store on an adjacent corner lot across from their current Fellowship Center. Their current contemporary service is held in the gym of their Fellowship Center and they wanted to vacate the gym and enhance their contemporary service. The A&P building is to be renovated for a New Contemporary Worship Center that will seat approximately 500 people. Designed with flexibility to accommodate multipurpose functions, the space can be reconfigured with removable stages, banquet tables, or as an open gathering space. Additional auxiliary spaces were incorporated into the existing square footage, including a warming kitchen, conference room, restrooms and two child care rooms for worship patrons. In addition, the design plans for future growth and expansion without interruption to the new renovated facilities.
